Campus Compact is seeking new 2023-24 host sites and/or projects as our VISTA program expands. Host Site selection and awards are contingent on final appropriations and approval by AmeriCorps.
We are reviewing applications on a rolling basis. If you are interested in submitting, we recommend that you do so as soon as your are able in order to provide ample time for member recruitment.
With a broad vision of higher education as social change agents and a belief that addressing issues like poverty is essential to the vision of the public purpose of higher education, the Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA Program seeks to activate higher education institutions and their partners to work together to make an impact on poverty on their campuses and in their communities. Our AmeriCorps VISTA program places AmeriCorps members for one-year terms of service on campuses and/or with their community partners to build capacity for high-impact programs, organizational approaches, and collective impact efforts that improve outcomes for low-income college students, low-income K-12 students, and low-income community members across the United States.
The Campus Compact VISTA Project is a national project that is open to all member institutions or their partners. For the 2023-24 program year, Campus Compact will have local affiliate Compacts that leverage AmeriCorps resources in Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Ohio, and Oregon. Applicants from those states should consult with their local Compact affiliate prior to applying to our project, as the affiliate Compact may have an AmeriCorps program that aligns with the desired project focus area. Organizations and institutions may receive AmeriCorps resources from multiple projects.
